A closer look at some key UN goals

The Academic Essay was an extended process in which we created an essay about an aspect of the UN Sustainable Development Goals that we are passionate about.
We initially created an open question and researched using a range of sources.
We then used this to create a balanced argument which included different perspectives. We did this to learn more about what is happening in the world and to prepare us for essays that we will write in senior school.
When we finished our essay, we created display boards for the academic essay showcase which explained what we have accomplished.
Presenting our work to an audience has certainly helped us to develop our confidence. We have all improved as learners in many different ways. We are now better at remaining focused on tasks that we are set and we can persevere even when we face difficult challenges.
