Magical place works its wonders on my soul
I stand in front of a piece of magic. It’s one of those types of places that only appear on television, or in a dream. Never would I have imagined that I would get to see such beauty.
I feel the wind at first; a wave of coolness rushing along my body. It weaves its way thorough my hair, its softness tickling my cheek. The morning air fills me with excitement as I inhale, and as the cool air travels into my lungs, I feel alive.
The sky looks like a painting. Different shades of blue emerge next to each other. Rich navy, sparkling sapphire, pale pansies.
Big fat clouds of all different shapes and sizes take their usual lazy strolls in the sky, together forming a masterpiece up above.
A vast body of shimmering water lies in front of me, extending far beyond my vision. The clearness of the silvery water seems unreal, and the daylight bounces off its surface. Small ripples caused by the wind appear at the shore of the lake, where water meets mud. Everything is silent, except for the occasional high chirps of birds and the sloshing of my footsteps. Snow capped mountains cast their reflections onto all sides of the lake, as if the giants were using it as a mirror.
My feet sink into mud, water seeping onto my shoes and covering it in a thin layer of chocolate brown. Rocks dot the muddy plain, and grass grows on a circle around the beige stones.
Nature leaves me in a trance. A smile forms on my face. Switzerland is such a magical place.
