Museum trip had us buzzing with excitement

FROM the moment I woke up, till when I stepped into the school, there was a buzz of excitement in the air. What did it mean? It meant that we were going on a trip today; a trip to Shanghai’s Natural History Museum to try different techniques of writing poetry.
Everyone was smiling and laughing so hard, unable to hide their happiness about missing school and going somewhere else.
We were eager to meet what the day had in store.
When we got to the museum, we went with our groups and started to tour the different sections of the museum. The museum is full of artifacts from the earth’s past; the list is endless. We went from the origins of life to the present-day population, from the animals of history to mystical creatures of legends, from the sparkles of gems in the earth to the colors of animals in the jungle.
Throughout the day at the museum, we laughed at jokes about the creatures we saw, we compared the poems we wrote, and we admired the poems that were outstanding. When the day ended and we headed back to the school and then back to our homes, we were still smiling. It was a great day, and even after when I got home, that buzz of excitement still lingered in the air.
