The pig and his revenge against the gingerbread man

THE gingerbread man knew he had to get out of the house as fast as he could — they were never going to let him leave and see the world. After much thinking, he knew he had to go into hiding. Luckily, as the years passed, he became the best of friends with a pig named Steve. One day as Steve and the gingerbread man were going on a walk, the gingerbread man confessed, “I can’t go on like this anymore! Every day I wake up scared that I’ll be discovered by the baker and his wife. I am done with hiding! I’ll … learn to run really fast instead! That way they’ll never catch me!”
Weeks went by and the gingerbread man trained till he reached a magnificent speed. One day, the gingerbread man declared, “I’m leaving, Steve. I need to see the world, so bye!” So the gingerbread man, his confidence higher than ever before, set off into the world to find what fame his speed would bring him. On the other hand, Steve was furious with the gingerbread man leaving him and wanted revenge. Flyers, posters, advertisements hung around the town showing the success of the gingerbread man. But all the pig could see was betrayal of friendship. Steve knew that the gingerbread man had to cross the river to get to his next show. He waited for the gingerbread disguised as a fox. When the gingerbread man looked puzzled about how to cross the river, the pig approached him cautiously.
“Do you need some help?” the pig asked.
“Oh, yes that would great.”
“Just hop on my back and I will take you across the river.”
The gingerbread man smiled and hopped on. When they reached the middle of the river, the pig flipped him off his back. “No! I can’t be in a water! I’ll dissolve!” screamed the gingerbread man. Steve climbed out of the river, glad that he never had to face the gingerbread man again.
