1st Kia World Games in city an extreme success
THE inaugural Kia World Extreme Games in Shanghai was an extreme success, showing the city has world-class facilities and ranks with the best.
Thousands of fans attended the multi-action Kia games from June 9 to 12 at the KIC Jiangwan Sports Center in Yangpu District.
Nearly 200 of the world's top action sports athletes from 30 countries and regions competed for prizes worth US$250,000, 60 percent more than the purse in the 2012 competition. The KIA World Extreme Games is the renewed collaboration between FOX Sports Event Management and Kia Motors as part of a new three-year deal that will take Asia's biggest action sports event to world-class status.
