Cartoon characters come to life on stage

AS the summer holiday approaches, Shanghai Poly Grand Theater has prepared an arts feast including 38 programs for children. Concerts, drama, children’s plays and parent-child interaction will feature.

Many cartoon characters will come to life on the theater’s stage, such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with the story told through ballet. “The Little Mermaid,” presented by the Panto Company, will also make a big splash.

The story of Peter Rabbit, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and the Three Bears will also be presented.

Meanwhile, the first Poly Children’s Choir Festival will be held in July so that audiences can appreciate the professional singing performances by children’s choir groups from throughout China.

The theater will also host summer camp activities for teenagers during the vacation guided by professional teachers.
