Charm of Chamber Music

EVER since 2013, the “City Movements Chamber Music” has become an annual cultural brand of Shanghai City Theater to promote the charm of chamber music. A lot of local music fans have been nurtured through concerts, public lectures and workshops. A total of 15 diverse performances will be held throughout this year. More than 20 excellent artists from 10 countries including Germany, Russia, Austria and the United States will perform piano recital, string quartet and violin duet. Many of the artists have received awards worldwide. Classic scores of famous musicians such as Beethoven, Bach and Johannes Brahms will be newly interpreted. Among them, German pianist Fabian Muller will present a piano recital on March 10 to commemorate the 190th anniversary of the death of Beethoven. On April 22, American pianist Mark Livshits will perform classics of Chopin. Experts and critics will also be invited to give lectures on music theory and artistic appreciation.
