鈥楳ozart!鈥 ready to rock

PRODUCED by Vereinigte Buehnen Wien, “Mozart!” centers on the struggles of the famous composer Mozart with the world around him, as well as the timeless drama of growing up and growing older.
The character Mozart is portrayed as a talented rock star in the musical. Throughout the show, a child whom only he can see offers him artistic inspiration.
Oedo Kuipers, who played the role of Mozart in the 2015 resident edition in Austria, will also star in the musical in Shanghai.
Maximilian Mann, who played Emperor Franz Joseph in the musical “Elisabeth” in 2014 here in Shanghai, will play Colloredo in “Mozart!”
“It is the first time for me to play a bad guy, but I like it. Colloredo has a strong and tough personality, desiring power over science and art,” says Mann.
The musical will be performed in German with Chinese and English subtitles.
