Outstanding student art on display

THE “National Invitation Exhibition for Outstanding Student Works from Fine Art Colleges” will be unveiled at the China Art Museum tomorrow.
Organized by the Art Education Committee of the Ministry of Education, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education, the Shanghai Culture, Radio Broadcasting, Film and Television Administration and Shanghai University, it involves 48 art schools from around the country.
It is the first among a series of exhibitions showcasing achievements in advanced art education in China.
Covering 4,900 square meters, the exhibition features nearly 830 works from Chinese art students, varying from ink-wash painting to sculpture, canvas, mural, installation, print and multimedia.
According to the organizers, the event has attracted the biggest number of exhibits by art students who are to present their quality artworks.
Plans are drwan out for more exhibitions for 2018 and 2019, ranging from outstanding works by teachers from fine art colleges to display of historical materials.
