Peppa Pig attraction opens in Shanghai
THE world’s first “Peppa Pig World of Play” attraction is open to the public at Shanghai LC Mall.
The attraction, covering an area of 1,100 square meters, offers kids and their families an immersive and interactive journey of adventure with Peppa and her friends.
Classic characters and scenes of the popular British preschool animated series “Peppa Pig” will come to the reality.
The 10 play areas of the attraction are all inspired by familiar scenes from the animated series.
Among them are Peppa’s Family House, Supermarket, Zoe Zebra and Danny Dog at the garage, Madame Gazelle’s School Bus, Rebecca Rabbit’s Underground Adventure, Peppa’s Treehouse, George’s Fort, Muddy Puddles and Sensory Garden.
Children will have hours of fun grocery shopping, helping Mr Zebra deliver all the letters, crawling through tunnels and sliding into big muddy puddles. There is also a screening theater for the animation’s episode screenings, a gift shop, story times and arts and craft sessions for the visitors.
Children can also use a special designed game card to play games and win prizes.
According to Steve Blackburn, head of Merlin Entertainments New Brand Global Operation, Shanghai is a charming and modern city, and he is confident the interactive attraction will bring a lot of fun to families in and around Shanghai.
“Following the launch of the inaugural play center in Shanghai, further ‘Peppa Pig World of Play’ launches will closely follow in Dallas and Beijing over the next two years,” Blackburn said.
