Photo exhibit displays abstractions
TWO young artists, George Mitrevski and Candy Tang, have 16 photography works collectively tilted “Dreamer in Motion” showcasing at O. Gallery, an old, hidden-away apartment near Hengshan Road.
“Mitrevski is actually a music composer,” JP Lam, curator and art director of O. Gallery, tells Shanghai Daily. “He likes to take his best memories. Thus, through his works you can see a lot of motion and fashion elements.
“Meanwhile, Candy Tang is a model who likes to depict her life with camera,” Lam adds.
The art itself is mostly abstract, according to Lam. When appreciating the works, he hopes people can use their own imagination to reflect on the images.
“Also, since all works came from a specific part of the artists’ experience, people can get a glimpse of the story of their lives,” he notes.
