Piano Recital

RENOWNED South Korean conductor and pianist Myung-Whun Chung will give a piano recital at Shanghai Symphony Hall on May 7. The programs include Debussy's ÒClair de Lune,Ó Schumann's ÒArabeske for piano in C major, Op. 18,Ó SchubertÕs ÒImpromptu in G-flat major, D899/3,Ó and TchaikovskyÕs ÒOctober: Autumn Song from The Seasons,Op. 37b.Ó Chung, born in Seoul, is recognized as one of the three leading conductors in Asia together with Ozawa Seiji from Japan and Zubin Mehta from India. He has conducted almost all the world's leading orchestras like the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonics, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Metropolitan Opera and the New York Philharmonic.
