Play explores marriage on the rocks

“RENDEZVOUS: A Tragicomedy” is set in present day Shanghai.

The story follows Christie Koletto and her husband Julian as their relationship falls on rocky times.

Julian wants more children but his wife isn’t so sure. As he pushes the issue and begins to lead a secret life, Koletto continues her own double life. Sylvester, a charming stranger going through a transition, enters Koletto’s world when she is at her most vulnerable.

A twist of fate brings all three together, calling into question their sense of identity. Their lives are set to change in profound ways.

The play is in English with Chinese subtitles and written and directed by Jason Lasky. Amanda Daniels, Paul Collins and Bon Wen star.

It has been produced by ShanghaiPRIDE, Shanghai Nvai and Meredith Yarbrough.
