Pop Musical ‘More Than Words’

IN a tribute to the late musician Tom Chang, pop musical “More Than Words,” which is based on Chang’s music, will be staged at Shanghai Culture Square. The musical tells a love story that spans two cities. It also focuses on common topics found in modern lifestyles. Chang’s friend and musical partner, Koji Sakurai, serves as the play’s musical director. While remaining faithful to the original music, Sakurai also imbues it with a new soul. A number of cutting-edge singers and actors are involved with the project, giving all-new interpretations of Chang’s timeless classics.
