TV viewers in for a summer of cultural bliss
AN array of exciting TV shows and interesting programs will be aired during the summer vacation. Every Saturday night at 8:30pm, Dragon TV will present “Poetry China,” a weekly cultural program to highlight the charm of classical Chinese poetry. The final of the show’s first season will be aired this month.
Following the program, another cultural treat about traditional Chinese operas will be debuted.
Celebrity reality show “Who’s the King” will be presented every Friday night at 10pm, featuring a group of pop idols who will face a series of unexpected game challenges.
On Sundays from July 30 to August, the Art and Culture Channel will offer a new season of “Art Class.” The program, aired at 7pm, will provide students with an insight into the weird and wonderful world of art. Experts will be on hand to talk about the origin and development of diversified art forms.
Every day from 8:30am to 4pm, Toonmax TV will show an animated series or film. ICS will air “DocuView,” a series on science, art and nature, and also screen an array of acclaimed films, including “2012,” “Shutter Island,” “Secret Window,” “Zodiac,” “Lord of the Rings” and “Mission: Impossible.”
