Barbecued ribs to cure what ails you
The Kuala Lumpur-based barbecue restaurant Morganfield’s recently opened its first branch in Shanghai. Setting on the second floor of SML Center, it combines good old fashioned barbecued pork ribs with American blues music.
Its signature dish Sticky Bones is most welcomed by meat lovers. Each weighing 1.2 kilograms, the ribs are slowly cooked and smoked in charcoal and hickory wood. Basted with thick hickory mopping sauce with a hint of cider, the ribs are crisp on the outside and tender inside.
Morganfield’s offers platters for those who want to taste more dishes. House specialities include Sticky Bones, tequila spiked chicken and grilled sausages. Other popular dishes among Morganfield’s appetizers and salads are Onion Blossom, a large fried sweet onion; smoking duck salad with century eggs; and bacon wrapped meat balls.
