Brunch reinvented at Le Bistrot
EVERYTHING is coming up roses at the new “la Vie en Rose” Sunday Brunch at Le Royal Meridien Shanghai’s Le Bistrot Signature Restaurant.
Named after the beloved French love song, which translates as “life through rose tinted glasses,” the brunch takes this title as inspiration for its decor and culinary choices.
Caviar, foie gras and an oversized seafood selection are only the prelude to the new sophisticated menu. There’s also an added Japanese station where oden, grilled treats and freshly made sushi rolls are only the beginning.
Other innovations include a cocktail bar where guests can order a range of signature drink concoctions. Children can enjoy their own buffet specially designed for them, as well as a playground area complete with a bouncy castle.
Meanwhile, an acclaimed international DJ sets the mood with a relaxed and refined atmosphere as you wine and dine.
“This is a clear departure from the traditional Sunday brunch. The reinvented ‘la Vie en Rose’ blooms with creativity, personal and charming guest services, a spectacularly lavish buffet and free flow of Mumm Champagne,” explained Joe Diaz, the restaurant’s culinary director.
Indeed, “la Vie en Rose” has also won “Best Hotel Brunch” awards from That’s Shanghai, City Weekend and other prestigious publications.
La Vie en Rose Sunday Brunch is priced at 398 yuan (US$59.95) per person excluding champagne; 458 yuan per person with free flow wine, beer and cocktail; 558 yuan per person with unlimited Mumm Brut, or 598 yuan with Mumm Rosé, from 12pm to 3pm every Sunday. Prices exclude 10 percent service charge and are subject to applicable VAT. This month, there will also be a special “Olympic Eats” promotion.
