Finnish ballad singer in concert
Finnish singer and songwriter Frida Andersson will give a ballad concert at Daning Theater on June 11.
The 25-year-old performer will sing more than 20 of her own songs, in English, French and Finnish.
Her songs describe the ups and downs of daily life with witty lyrics.
In 2007, Andersson was named as "Finland's Lucia 2007" and staged 80 performances for a month in Finland. Her debut album, "Busy Missing You," was released in 2009.
Though Andersson is well-known in Scandinavia, she is still a fresh face to Shanghai audiences. She took part in several music festivals in China last year, performing with ballad singers such as Pu Shu, Cao Fang and Zhang Xuan.
Last year, she released the album "Sister" in Sweden and Finland, which she recorded and produced by herself for her own label, Casual Friday Music.
