Indulge in these sumptuous winter brunches
Pudong Shangri-La, East Shanghai
Jade on 36 has launched an all-new, buffet style Sunday brunch with a European fusion menu created by chef de cuisine Jeremy Biasiol.
The Jade on Sunday concept is all about enjoying the finest things in life — people, gastronomy, entertainment, art and champagne. Guests can celebrate family and friends with a brunch experience set amid spectacular views of Shanghai’s historic Bund.
A complete Jade Sunday brunch starts with an appetizer buffet selection, followed by unlimited main courses chosen right from Biasiol’s kitchen and ending with a dessert buffet featuring chef Beat Loeffel’s finest desserts.
Appetizers include potato and smoked salmon salad, green asparagus, egg mollet, truffle vinaigrette, olive oil and toast, mini crab cakes, pickles sauce, cold cuts, beetroot pana cotta, cheese, crispy croutons and soups.
An open kitchen concept offers a culinary adventure where guests can select their main dish from the kitchen and interact with Biasiol himself. Main offerings include pan seared foie gras, grilled lobster, slow-cooked salmon, burger beef Wagyu M5, scallops, cod fish and mussels. The private dining room serves as the dessert room, where the hotel’s executive pastry chef prepares various dessert items in a wonderland setting. The dessert room is open during dinner hours on Sunday at only 148 yuan (US$22.50) per person plus 15 percent service charge.
