Langham lounge takes chic to new heights

LOCATED on level 5 of the Langham in Xintiandi, XTD elevated is a luxury outdoor lounge and terrace that’s destined to become one of the summer’s hottest outdoor spots.
XTD elevated is an ideal venue for after-work drinks, casual dining or just relaxing with friends. The lounge’s snack menu has been re-engineered by Langham culinary director Albert Servalls with a focus on unexpected combinations of the freshest ingredients.
The new menu features a tantalizing array of sweet and savory delights. Highlights include Baby Brave Potatoes with Spicy Sofrito and Roasted Apple Aioli (68 yuan), the XTD Trio of Petite Spicy BBQ Burgers (88 yuan), Irish Coffee Cupcakes with Almond Parfait (two pieces for 78 yuan) and the Langham Giant Nutella Éclair (68 yuan).
The chef’s Baby Brave Potatoes and Roasted Apple Aioli come highly recommended. The apple aioli features the chef’s secret apple sauce recipe, while the potatoes are stuffed with a special chili, cumin and tomato sauce.
Diners also won’t want to miss out on the cool drinks and magnificent cocktails prepared by XTD elevated’s talented mixologists. The drink list includes 16 types of Mojitos, with the classic Mojito starting at 90 yuan.
For cocktail lovers, there’s the Goldentini, a splendid beverage concocted from sweet Vermouth, port, vodka and bear brandy.
For those looking to really splash out though, there’s always the Premium Martini, mixed with Martell Cohiba, Grand Manier 150 Year and Noily Part Dry and topped off with cherries all for 1,865 yuan per glass.
Ladies may enjoy the English Breakfast Tea (90 yuan per pot), a uniquely refreshing summer cocktail served in a transparent tea pot. Main ingredients include Earl Grey Gin balanced with grapefruit, lemon juice and mint leaves.
On XTD elevated’s terraced lounge, guests can choose to lounge on either leather day beds or book private cabanas with personalized service from attentive waiters.
XTD elevated at the Langham, Xintiandi, Shanghai is open from 5pm to 1am daily. All menu items are subject to a 15 percent service charge.
