THE National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine will present New Year’s Concert under the baton of Nicola Giuliani. It will also cooperate with Chinese conductor Fan Tao to present a concert featuring famous scores by Joe Hisaishi. These scores were created for the animated movies of Japanese manga artist and film director Miyazaki Hayao. Founded in 1918, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine is one of the finest symphony orchestras in Eastern Europe. The ensemble of the orchestra especially displays its versatility in Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s masterpieces and representative works by Ukraine’s celebrated composer Yevhen Stankovych.
