Sunrise On The Bund offers guests luxury, freedom and flexibility

SUNRISE On The Bund is a five-star hotel in the heart of the North Bund. Opened in 2010, the luxury hotel features a blend of old Shanghai and European styles, offering luxurious rooms as well as impeccable dining experiences.

With its great location, hotel guests will be able to enjoy walks along the North Bund greenland. Three tunnels are easily accessible: Dalian Road Tunnel, Bund Tunnel and Xinjian Road Tunnel.

Once Metro Line 12 opens later this year, two subway stations will be within walking distance of the hotel, making traveling around the city even more convenient.

To accommodate meeting and catering needs, the hotel has a Grand Ballroom of 420 square meters and seven separate meeting rooms ranging from 35 to 160 square meters.

Sunrise On The Bund offers 140 luxurious guest rooms and 11 suites, each with free high-speed Internet and many other amenities that will satisfy various business needs.

"The rooms don't need to be too large, but they have to be comfortable, clean and convenient," said Rebecca Xu, the hotel's director of sales and marketing.

Dining is one of the hotel's highlights with four distinctive high-end restaurants and four bars.

Tainan Tan-Tsu-Mien Seafood Restaurant offers classical Taiwanese and Cantonese cuisine, focusing on healthy food that retains the original flavors of the ingredients. Sho-u To Japanese Restaurant is headed by chef Hirobe Hiroyuki from Ginza district of Tokyo.

Zan Teppanyaki offers a fusion of Japanese Teppanyaki and French cuisine while Crystal Cafe serves Western food.

The Old Captain Bar is in a renovated old villa on 136 Gaoyang Road. It offers three traditional types of beer: Munich lager, dark and wheat beer. The bar can accommodate 150 people and has two private rooms. The Churchill Cigar Bar on the second floor offers various world class cigars and fine wines.

The hotel targets business travelers and guarantees great service, but is not as expensive as comparable hotels.

Guests holding functions at the hotel can have everything tailored to their requirements to ensure meetings and special occasions go off without a hitch.

"We have extremely flexible services so we can satisfy all the needs of our guests," said Xu.
