MUNICH is an energetic and vibrant city where old meets new and tradition meets modern.
The capital city of Bavaria, Germany has a population of 1.4 million and is the third largest city in the country after Berlin and Hamburg. It is home to many museums and galleries, such as the three Pinakothek galleries featuring old European art, Museum Brandhorst for modern art and the German Museum, which is one of the oldest science museums in the world. In the inner city, visitors can stroll down four grand avenues dating back to the 19th century.
Munich is home to several professional soccer teams including Bayern Munich, Germany’s most successful club.
The city is also home to Oktoberfest, one of the most celebrated beer festivals in the world.
