Beer festival runs through August

THE 80-day, 18th International Beer Festival at Suzhou Amusement Land provides a variety of activities, including a rock ‘n’ roll contest, a soccer baby show, drinking competition and others.
The festival started on Friday and will run through August 31. In the beer-theme park, near 100 different beer brands from Germany, Sweden, the US and Japan are available. Every tourist has the chance to taste at least four different kinds of beer Ñ Tsingdao, Xuehua, Swedish beer and Munich beer. Stout, ale, ice beer, low-alcohol beer and draught beer will all be provided. Special theme activities like fried chicken and beer in summer are also planned. Free beer is offered for high-school graduates of 2014.
