A: With family and/or friends as it is the shared experience of discovery that makes traveling all the more rewarding.

A: A central location convenient to what I have planned.

A: A good spa and gym and an extensive buffet breakfast.

A: A great customer service experience.

Q: What do you usually do in a hotel apart from rest?

A: Utilize the spa and gym facilities.

Q: How do you book a hotel with an affordable rate?

A: Book online.

Q: Describe an unforgettable stay.

A: Each time we stay at the Holiday Inn Silom in Bangkok, our stay is always memorable. From the time we enter until the time we leave, and all the times in between, each and every staff member that we encounter knows us by name. It’s always nice going back to a hotel where one is made to feel totally welcome, a true “home away from home” experience.

Q: In which hotels do you want to stay in the future?

A: The Intercontinental Chengdu Global City and the Intercontinental Sanya Haitang Bay Resort.

Q: Why do you go to Bangkok?

A: My wife and I both lived and worked in Thailand in 2000 and fell in love with the city and the people of Thailand.

Q: What’s special about it?

A: It is a blend of both first and third world and very affordable to visit. We enjoy the warm tropical weather year round.

Q: What necessities do you take to Bangkok?

A: A big appetite as the food is spicy and delicious and there is always something new to excite the palate.

Q: What do you do when you arrive?

A: Check in to our hotel, then head out to find some good local food.

Q: Must-sees and dos in Bangkok?

A: A visit to the Grand Palace is a must if you have never been to Bangkok and a visit to the weekend market, Chatuchak (JJ Market) where you can buy any and everything.

Q: Must-try specialties?

A: Som tam or Thai green papaya salad.

Q: Describe a memorable Bangkok experience.

A: To see an elephant up close walking the city streets of Bangkok alongside people and traffic, as if it were the most natural thing to do.

Q: What kind of gifts do you recommend?

A: Locally produced food and skin care products focused on health and well-being.
