Ctrip cruise sets sail

CTRIP set out its first five-day cruise trip yesterday to the Xisha Islands in the South China Sea, a cluster of about 40 islets, sandbanks and reefs. Cruises to Sansha City on Hainan Province - featuring the Xisha, Nansha and Zhongsha islands - began recently. Tourists can expect to set foot on China's southernmost islands, which boast well-preserved coral reefs and clear seas, said to offer visibility to 40 meters deep. The tour also includes a visit to Yagong Island, where visitors can get a glimpse of fishermen's lives and savor abundant sea produce. Next month will see the second Ctrip tour to the Xisha Islands.
