Cultural events recommended

THE Shanghai Tourism Administration has recommended a string of fun events this summer, such as “Stories Behind Shanghai Longtang (the traditional residential alleyways)” exhibition at the Shanghai Film Museum, a 3D magic experience display at 859 Sichuan Road N., an exhibition of snuff bottles of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) at the Shanghai Museum of Glass and a lotus festival at  Guyi Garden.

The Sheshan Hill Tourism Resort in Songjiang District will stage a carnival season through August, including tours to explore the insect and plant world at night in the Chenshan Botanical Garden, a racing festival at Tianma Circuit and a photo competition across Sheshan. Discounts on hotels and tickets are offered at some travel websites, such as  www.lvmama.com and www.qunar.com.
