How often do you travel?
Four or five times per year usually Ñ three times for business and one annual vacation.
Objective of travel: Generate business deals, professional networking, learning about different cultures and better understanding the market/economic environments.
Favorite traveling style: Driving fast cars.
When I finish a journey, I always do:
Financial accounting, travel album.
How many destinations have you visited? I have not counted them, but I have been to six continents. The only continent I have not traveled to (yetÉ) is Antarctica.
What does traveling mean to you in your life? Traveling for me embodies freedom, curiosity, enjoying cultural differences, meeting people, discovering new things and having fun.
Do you prefer to travel alone or with family/friends? I prefer to travel with my family/friends. But traveling alone for short trips, usually driving a sports car is the cherry on the cake.
Q: What type of hotel will you choose when traveling?
A: Of course it depends on the type of trip — business or leisure, alone or with family. But overall I like to discover hotels that are hidden treasures as I particularly enjoy hotels that offer a one-off unique experience and hotels that have a strong soul. A good example is the hotel made out of ice like the one in Iceland.
Q: What do you value most when choosing a hotel?
A: Location, location, location. But sometimes I do value a hotel as a destination for a unique experience. I value a hotel’s capacity to provide a personalized service and exceed my expectations. I value details like the scent in corridors and lobby. In other words, all the details that inspire our five senses and soothe emotions.
Q: What facility or service do you think is necessary during a hotel stay?
A: Nowadays, high-speed connectivity is a must and smart gadgets are a plus. For example, in room domotics on tablets. Modern fitness equipment and unusual limousines, such as the Maserati Quattroporte at a hotel in Beijing or more simply a Mini BMW can be compelling criteria of choice for me.
Q: What do you expect most of a hotel for an enjoyable stay?
A: Perfect cleanliness, constant smile from employees, soundproofing and comfortable bedding.
Q: What do you usually do in a hotel during your stay apart from resting in your room?
A: I go to the fitness center whenever I can, and I like to discover themed restaurants.
Q: How do you book a hotel with an affordable room rate?
A: I use an app.
Q: Share with us an unforgettable stay in a hotel.
A: It was the Hotel Metropole in Monaco, which at the time had a light green and burgundy color scheme. From the entrance to the different outlets, the ambiance was so extraordinary that I felt like being in the world of “Alice in Wonderland” or “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Service was exceptional and luxurious, I felt pampered from the beginning to the end of my stay.
Q: What hotels do you want to stay at in the future?
A: I am looking forward to experiencing a dream hotel in the middle of the ocean like in Bora Bora, as well as the Ferrari hotel, which will open in 2016 and is shaped like a Ferrari Formula 1 car, my passion.
