HAPPY Valley in Songjiang District is getting into Halloween in a big way, with 150,000 spooky pumpkins in the park. Visitors will feel they are entering a veritable pumpkin world, featuring the likes of pumpkin pyramids and a pumpkin house. Fun activities including pumpkin bowling, pumpkin painting and pumpkin carving are being held in the park. Five "ghost houses" are set to test visitors' courage. About 200 ghostly figures will emerge after 5pm through November 18, with the sole aim of scaring anyone they see. Admission to the park is 200 yuan (US$32) between 9am and 9pm and 80 yuan between 5pm and 9pm. Call 3355-2222 or 3779-2222 for inquiries.
