Southern delight good enough for a queen

SURROUNDED by mountains and sitting on the north bank of Lake Wakapitu, Queenstown in New Zealand is a picturesque small town that is said to be so delightful that it was built just for Queen Victoria. It is place for both laid-back relaxing and adventures, such as skiing, bungee jumping, horse riding and canyon rafting. Neighboring Arrowtown, 21 kilometers away, provides a peek of the gold rush days of the 1860s. A direct flight between Shanghai and Auckland takes about 12 hours.
