Tourism Festival offers activities

THE 2014 Shanghai Tourism Festival will be held from September 13 to October 6, offering 46 activities including a big kickoff parade. Some 56 tourist spots will offer discount admissions, including Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Jinjiang Amusement Park, Shanghai Happy Valley, Shanghai Botanical Garden and Shanghai Wildlife Zoo.
Micro Journey of Shanghai encourages the public to take walks along six specially designed routes, such as “A Stroll along the Suzhou River,” “A Dialogue with Eileen Chang,” “Mysterious Shanghai Bund” and so on. Taking part in these theme walks is free.
The Shanghai Color Run will be held on September 27. Runners will pass a color station every kilometer, where they will be sprinkled in different colors.
