Discounted fares to the UK
British Airways is offering discounted fares for flights from Shanghai or Beijing to the United Kingdom and other European countries. First class return fares start from 55,280 yuan (US$8,690) while Club World business class return fares from Shanghai start from 23,760 yuan. World Traveller economy class return fares start from 9,680 yuan. These special fares are available for booking on ba.com until Monday and the offer is available for outbound travel from Beijing or Shanghai before September 30, 2012.
Dubai deal for couples
Emirates Airline has a special offer for flights from Shanghai to Dubai. Couples buying round-trip tickets between the two cities can get a 25 percent discount on one of the tickets. The trip needs to be taken between October 8 and December 5. Reservations can be made from today until September 3. An all-inclusive round-trip flight between Shanghai and Dubai costs 5,970 yuan.
Super savings on flights to Europe
Germany's Lufthansa is offering a special round-trip fare from 2,880 yuan for flights departing from Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Qingdao and Shenyang to Europe in economy class. New York City here we come
Delta Airlines is offering discounted fares for flights from Shanghai to John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City until September 2. A round-trip flight between Shanghai and New York costs 7,500 yuan. The trip needs to be taken between November 1 and December 31, or between February 1 and March 31, 2013. Shanghai-Okinawa route opens
Shanghai Juneyao Airlines has launched four flights a week between Shanghai and Okinawa, Japan, at special fares of about 1,500 yuan for a single trip. The flights depart at 10:30am from Pudong International Airport on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and return at 2:30pm local time. The airline will use an Airbus 320 passenger plane on the route. It takes about two hours to fly between the cities.
