Yacht trips on Taihu Lake

ON every weekend through June, you can take two different yacht routes to enjoy the view of Taihu Lake and pick loquat in the orchards. You can take yachts either from Dongshan Tourist Center Dock to Shatan Mountain Dock (Dongshan route) or from Taihu Park Dock to Shigong Mountain Dock (Xishan route). Then sightseeing buses will take you to orchards, farmhouses and viewpoints like Shigong Mountain, Tea Culture Museum and Buddhist convents. There are tour guides on buses to discuss the scenic spots along the way. Tickets cost 35 yuan (US$5.6) for the Dongshan route and 50 yuan for the Xishan route. Tourists with yacht tickets can take the buses for free on the same day.
