ONE person was killed and three injured last night when a speeding sedan hit four scooters at a factory gate in the Pudong New Area.
The driver fled the scene, police said. One of the injured suffered a fractured spine, another broke a thigh and the other suffered only bruises. The accident happened at 7:43pm on Jinjing Road near Jinhai Road when many people were waiting to pick up their families in front of the factory. The sedan lost control and hit the scooters, crashed into a tree and collided with the gate of the factory, witnesses said. Police were hunting for the driver.
