15 drunk drivers seized in Pudong crackdown

Pudong District police said they have detained 15 offenders in a major crackdown on drunk driving this month and said they will adopt a high-handed policy against the crime with zero tolerance.
Last Tuesday a bus ran two red lights on Zhangyang Road and was forced to stop by a police patrol car. The driver surnamed Zhuo tried to pull back and escape but was blocked by other cars. He then jumped off the bus and began to run.
He was caught minutes later and was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.014mg/ml in a test, far over the legal limit of 0.02mg/ml.
