Chinese TV anchor Cui Yongyuan wants more public participation in helping disadvantaged groups in China.

At a rural teachers training program at East China Normal University, 167 teachers from rural areas in Yunnan, Jiangxi, Qinghai, Hubei and Xinjiang came to learn modern teaching methods and ideas and to have a taste of metropolis life to expand their vision.

In the following two weeks, they will communicate with famous educators in Shanghai, visit famous companies, like Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co, receive high-end health examinations and spend one day with local volunteer families.

For the first time, the I Fly--Training Rural Teachers program will take rural teachers to nearby Suzhou City of Jiangsu Province to experience culture of city different from Shanghai.

The program was launched by Cui Yongyuan in 2007 in Beijing when he realized the situation in rural areas were so poor that even teachers there had never been on an airplane and introduced in Shanghai in 2010.
