18 months in jail for ATM schemers

THREE migrant workers were each sentenced to 18 months in prison yesterday for stealing credit card information by installing cameras and information detectors on ATM machines.
Judges of the Songjiang District People's Court said it was the city's first case in which criminals were charged with stealing credit card information, though they didn't have the time to steal any money with the stolen information. They were caught in the midst of installing the camera and information detector.
