MORE than 1 million yuan (US$160,422) was stolen from a game and entertainment company by a 23-year-old teller who gave the money to a man she met online, Huangpu District prosecutors said yesterday.
The suspect, surnamed Huang, was arrested and charged with embezzlement. Huang met her boyfriend, surnamed Long, online and fell in love with him in early 2011, prosecutors said. Not long afterwards, Long began to borrow money from Huang and the amount was much bigger each time. Later, Long suggested that Huang use her company's money.
