2 dead, 1 injured in knife attack at downtown cyber cafe

A man who allegedly carried out a knife attack in wee hours today inside a an Internet café downtown was already dead when alarmed officers arrived, police announced today.
The attack left one of the store workers dead and another non-critically injured. Both the victims were rushed to hospital and one of them was pronounced dead at hospital, police said.
The man, surnamed Peng, allegedly stabbed the victims after entering the store on second floor of a restaurant on Wuning Road in Putuo District at 4:34am as shown in security footage, police said.
Police said the Peng was already dead on the scene when they arrived.
Police have not released other details of the incident, adding the case is still under investigation.
