2 detained for coupon swindle
TWO men were detained for allegedly swindling coupons for mooncake with face value of more than 740,000 (US$108,388), Putuo District police said yesterday.
The suspects wrote a local food company fake checks to buy the coupons last August. They fled after selling the coupons to customers. One was caught on February 24 in the city and the other on February 28 in Shenzhen, southern China's Guangdong Province.
