2 in crushed car saved

TWO people were pulled to safety by passers-by after their Mazda 6 sedan was partially crushed by a cement-mixer truck, which fell on top of the car and started disgorging cement into the passenger compartment yesterday. The incident happened around 9:30am on Jungong Road near Zhoujiazui Road. The truck was traveling at high speed when a car in front it suddenly braked to avoid the red light, witnesses said. The truck driver lost control when he was steering sharply into a greenbelt. The truck swerved back on the road, rear-ending the car before it and fell on top of a Mazda. The impact crushed part of the roof.
