24-hour drugstore will serve Expo visitors

A 24-HOUR drugstore will open next year in the World Expo park to serve visitors, today's Shanghai Morning Post reported.

The 80-square-meter store, to be built with green materials, will be equipped with a video system over which buyers can have doctors prescribe medicine if necessary.

It will continue business after the Expo concludes in October next year.

Meanwhile, a citywide medicine distribution system was launched yesterday to better serve local residents and visitors to the World Expo, the newspaper said.

It will distribute medicine to 600 drugstores across the city during the six-month event. In emergency cases, it can supply medicine to a drugstore in two hours.
