25 cloned taxis seized in citywide crackdown

SHANGHAI'S taxi watchdog said 25 cloned taxis and 100-plus illegal transport operators have been seized in a recent crackdown in the city.
Six of the cloned taxi drivers have been handed to police for investigation into the sources of their fake licenses and car plates.
Motorcycles and tricycles in illegal taxi operation are also targeted and confiscated in the crackdown, said law enforcement officials.
Meanwhile, the local traffic administration said more bus routes will be opened to ease complaints from people who could not find a bus in their communities to take them to a Metro station.
