3 cold fronts to hit city

THREE cold fronts will hit Shanghai starting today as local weathermen forecast daytime temperatures will drop by six degrees Celsius to 9 degrees, today's Oriental Morning Post reported.

Overnight lows of 2 degrees tomorrow are expected with drizzle until Sunday morning, when a second cold front arrives.

Temperatures will continue to drop to around freezing point on Monday.

A third cold front is forecast next Wednesday.

An icy snap is gripping northern and central China.
