3 held over sale of fake-brand fittings

STORES selling fake-brand electrical fittings and flooring materials were raided by police and three people detained.
Last month, a store owner, surnamed Sun, was reported to be selling counterfeit plugs and switches in Jiuxing, a major fixtures and fittings material market in Minhang District, police said yesterday.
The economic crime investigation branch of the police and Shanghai Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau raided Sun's store on September 28 and confiscated more than 26,000 fake products worth 260,000 yuan (US$40,749), police said.
Sun was apprehended.
And a retailer of Shanghai Jiwu Hardwood Flooring, also surnamed Sun, was detained for selling fake flooring in his authorized store in Xuhui District police said.
