3 killed, 3 injured in Songjiang house fire

Three people were killed in a fire that broke out in a rural house in suburban Songjiang District at 1:30am today.

The fire was put out about 50 minutes later, xinmin.cn reported.

An elderly couple, who owned the wood-and-brick house, and a female tenant, 46, died in the fire.

Another young couple and a young man, who were not identified, were injured.

Investigation is ongoing.
