3 road accidents claim 3 lives this morning

A woman in her 80s died this morning after she was hit by a truck in the city's Putuo District. The woman fell and her head was crushed by the truck as it was making a right turn to Zhennan Road, witnesses said.
The elderly woman died on the spot and the accident caused a massive congestion in the area during the morning rush hour. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, police said.
In another accident that happened at 3am on Yangshupu Road in Yangpu District, a car knocked down an electric moped carrying three people. One died and two were injured, police said.
Also this morning at about 6:30am, a truck ran over a woman in Pudong District as it was making a turn on Shenjiang Road. Police are investigating the accident.
