3-year-old boy falls 10 floors to death while playing on bed

A 3-year-old boy playing on a bed at home went out a 10th-floor window and plunged to his death in Jiading District Tuesday morning, STV reported today.

The boy was playing alone by the window of his family home on Aite Road about 8am when the incident happened. The window was left ajar while the boy's parents and grandmother were at home. Police said it appeared that the boy pushed the window and slipped out. His parents are migrant workers in Shanghai who rented the home.

Police warn parents living in high-rises to attend to children and not to place their beds near windowsills.
