8 lamps illegal

THE Shanghai Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau yesterday confiscated eight LED desk lamps without China's compulsory certification sold at the Auchan Supermarket's Zhongyuan store in Yangpu District. The supermarket may face a fine up to 200,000 yuan (US$33,950). LED desk lamps above 36 volts must be certified.
