THE Huangpu River may suffer a more severe outbreak of green algae this autumn due to this year's weather and inefficient prevention and control at some regions upriver, officials from Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau said yesterday.
The bureau has teamed up with neighboring provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangsu to clean up green algae before it gets out of hand.
